Detroit Tigers partner with PointsBet sportsbook app

Baseball betting is coming to Comerica Park.
The Detroit Tigers have entered a multiyear partnership with PointsBet, a sports betting operator, beginning this season, the club announced Thursday morning.
The agreement, the first for a Major League Baseball team, will begin this season.
In 2019, Michigan legalized sports betting. The city’s first sportsbook, at MGM Grand, opened earlier this year but was shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic.
PointsBet is MLB’s authorized gaming provider. Its product includes a mobile application, and as part of the deal, the company will have visible branding at Comerica Park, on the team’s radio network and across their digital platforms.
